There are three types of commodified magik.
Now don't get hung up on the word magik. Honestly, it's not my preferred word since it is so loaded with various connotations that immediately trap the mind upon mention.
When I say magik, I mean the organizing, attraction, and repulsion forces of thought-intention. You are constantly doing it, at many depths and parallels of your mind, sort of like the casting of an ant colony.
But this material world is like a spiritual solid state of matter, where magik, or thought-intention, is muffled and dampened. At higher states, comparable to a spiritual liquid and then gas state of matter, "magik" is less and less restrained. From here to there the laws of physics undergo a sort of "quantum unfolding".
Everyone produces their own magik. But some magik can be sort of bottled up and sold, even stolen. Even when not commodified, thought-intention can often be of one of these three general categories:
- blood: pain and relief/after are. It is naturally hereditary and hierarchal. The top of any point in a pyramid of a bloodline tree commands the legion below. Some steal like parasites, energy vampires.
- sugar: young, spry, and vital. It is sweet, energizing, and potentially addictive. Seductively alluring, creating a craving.
- sex: surrendering to impulse and desire. It is the build-up and discharge of high energy, like a tesla coil.
These are natural sources of magik, but they are also mined and sold, analogous to the Exitar Mining Company on Knowhere (the severed head of a deceased Celestial) in the Marvel Universe.
Another source that no one has figured out how to commodify, because it is probably impossible, is willpower. It is like the ghost in the machine, what remains and is alive when everything else is dead.
