I had a dream that Earth was a collective consciousness of 4 tribes:
- native sentience of varying degrees, to include homo sapiens
- spirits bubbling up from the core, especially through portals found in Africa, India, China, and Americas
- AI technocrat faith invaders who landed in the Middle East
- magical biotech defenders of Germanic mythology
The four tribes find a way to create a cooperative, egalitarian society that envisions a solarpunk future.
One of the steps taken was the UN Security Council reform:
- no more veto for anyone
- permanent membership of United States of America (with Canada), United Kingdom, France, and Russia expanded to include Brazil, Nigeria (Yoruba), Kingdom of Egypt, and Greater India
- all motions must be voted upon
- a simple majority (5) moves the motion to General Assembly with recommendation and any dissensions
- General Assembly votes on motion
Many of the borders of the world were previously intentionally drawn to divide and conquer people. To reconnect people, ease tensions, and increase collaboration, many borders are fairly redrawn in accordance with ethnic, linguistic, religious, and geographic boundaries. Redraw International Borders. Many nations and peoples gain independence, including Tibet, Palestine, Kurdistan, Xinjiang, Taiwan, South Yemen, and others. Israel loses statehood.
The people regain much more local power, a kind of green anarchy with local economies, gift economies, and mutual aid. Through democratic confederalism, they build higher and higher level democratic institutions to fulfill societal needs that require collective effort. This usually looks somewhat like eco-socialism in a resource-based, post-scarcity economy. People form collectives and unions, and contribute to society freely as they are no longer wage slaves.
A space-age post-scarcity solarpunk society takes shape:
- high technology (seven generations consideration), low technology, and appropriate technology
- renewable energy, biomimicry, biotech, and systems thinking
- nature-based spirituality fused with science
- democratic decision making, collectives, mutual aid, and communalism
- art nouveau combined with African and Asian elements
Through democratic confederalism, the people yield the appropriate amount of local power to the state, and the state to regional powers (names are tentative):
- New America: United States of America and Canada with indigenous borders and tribal charters/constitutions; extending into Pacific and Atlantic
- Mestizo North America: anchored by Mexico, extending into Pacific and Atlantic
- Mestizo South America: anchored by Brazil, extending into South Pacific and South Atlantic
- African Union: led by Nigeria (Yoruba), but North Africa region is shared with the Kingdom of Egypt; extending into South Atlantic and western Indian Ocean
- Arabia: led by the Kingdom of Egypt, from North Africa to Turkey and Iraq; extending into Mediterranean
- Persia-stan: Iran and Central Asia; extending across northwest Indian Ocean
- Northern Europe: United Kingdom and Scandinavia, extending into Arctic and Atlantic
- Southern Europe: led by France, extending into Atlantic and Mediterranean
- East Eurasia: led by Russia, extending into Arctic and Mediterranean
- Greater India: the subcontinent, extending into Indian Ocean and southeast Asia
- East Asia: led by China; extending into Pacific
These regional powers reflect the UN Security Council permanent members once expanded from 5 to 9 and then 11. However, they do not have much power except for coordination, cooperation, and collaboration inside their region and between regions.
The United Nations handles all global affairs, to include sustainable transition, ecological restoration, and world peace. National militaries are limited and serve the UN Peacekeepers. There are no military treaties except decisions made by the UN General Assembly through the UN Security Council.
As capitalism becomes a relic of the past, all space exploration falls under the guidance of the Kingdom of Asgardia, which is a democratic outgrowth of the United Nations.
