Charlie Crist is the former Florida Republican Governor who will challenge incumbent Republican Governor Ron DeSantis this November. While "moderate" in America is actually conservative in most of the world, Ron DeSantis is so evil that I see the logic in picking the best bet as a temporary stop-gap. Normally I favor voting your dreams (Green Party and Democratic Socialists), not your fears, but there are exceptions to every rule. Hope you crush red-pill DeSantis, Crist.

I woke up in Idiocracy. This is a dystopia. We need more than police reform; we need an overhaul of the entire judicial system and a paradigm shift in how we tolerate and treat undesired social behavior.
It's no coincidence that God-damned Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett's religious fundamentalist group People of Praise referred to submissive women as haidmaidens. If you recall, Handmaid's Tale was a dystopian novel and Hulu series.
The religious right, including Zionists, want to establish a worldwide draconian religious theocracy based on stupid interpretations of a stupid book from a stupid, primitive religion based on terror and violence. The thousand years of Revelations is the same as the Thousand Year Reich. The Christian Right, which has infiltrated the CIA and other positions of power, are the same beings as the Nazis who tried to establish a Thousand Year Reich.

Loan forgiveness, possibly for only public institutions or full for public and partial for private, must be combined with free universal education going forward.
Loan forgiveness and universal public higher education should be contingent upon a volunteer commitment to organizations such as AmeriCoprs and Peace Corps. Yes, both organizations are ripe for reform. I think the creation of a Civilian Conservation Corps that supports a comprehensive Green New Deal can synergistic. Students would appreciate their education and attain guaranteed internship experience to launch their careers while benefitting society. More focus should be focused on trade school and community college, and the elimination of so-called "bullshit jobs".
The volunteer commitment should absolutely not be military service. Currently the military branches offer various programs to help education funding and student loan forgiveness. However, the military-industrial complex is a drain on society, and inevitably leads to international oppression, hegemonies, and senseless deaths and destruction. In fact, a universal higher education (for public school) and universal quality preschool should be paid for, at least in part, by drastically reducing the military budget. That's systems thinking: fewer casualties and destruction, more education and civic duty.
The military-industrial-media complex should then retool to sustainability: green economy, circular economy, doughnut economy, regenerative economics, degrowth, renewable energy, appropriate technology, natural building materials (cob, strawbale, adobe, super-abobe, rammed earth, compressed earth, earth bag, cordwood, etc), passive solar, homesteading, public transportation (TOD and new urbanism), intentional communities (cohousing and ecovillages), unions,, cooperatives and collectives, permaculture, biomimicry, systems thinking, and the like.
Education can also be revolutionized for the better. For example, the current model encourages obedience to authority, rote memorization of facts, and a reward and punishment system in submission to authority, peer pressure, and performance testing of store-and-dump facts. This creates a compliant but unhappy and hyper-individual future workforce whose thirst for learning has been deadened.
Instead, the focus of education should be on encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, problem solving, real world skills, and emotional intelligence. Of course a generation educated in such a way would be difficult to manipulate and control, but they would not need to be. They will have the internal motivation to live life to the fullest in a way fair for all. Isn't that worlds better than our current model?
See democratic education, Sudbury Valley School, and Montessori for ideas of how public school could be radically revolutionized for the better. I do not recommend charter schools because they exasperate wealth inequality or homeschooling because of the risk of sheltered religious indoctrination.

Meanwhile, society, through education and media, should continue to promote a radical paradigm shift in worldview toward deep ecology, ecosophy, eco-socialism, libertarian-socialism, green anarchy, democratic confederalism, solarpunk, and similar. In doing so, we can continually work towards a collective near-utopia.
Why aren't felons allowed to vote? Why does conviction of a crime mean you are no longer allowed to participate in the minimal, pacifist civil democratic practice? (Which, incidentally, merely supports one or the other faction of a single corporate political party).
I will tell you why: black, brown, and Native American peoples are disproportionately policed, disproportionately arrested, disproportionately convicted, and systematically given harsher sentences than white people, especially wealthy white people.
Therefore, preventing felons from voting is a corrupt way to prevent democracy through unethical, yet legal, voter suppression. Disenfranchisement of felons supports the undemocratic political class of the wealthy elite, whose interests are different, and often entirely antithetical, to 99% of the population.
This, among many other reasons, is why I will never be a Christian, and why I don't allow religious fundamentalists into my life. I do not tolerate intolerance, and I discriminate against discrimination,

When right-wing conservatives say "democratic," what they mean is there sole reserved right to unilaterally exercise imposed power to influence public information, and therefore perception, to manipulate elections in such a way that maintains a grows there centralized power and exploitation of the few at the expense of the many.
It's like the "states rights" argument that masks slavery as a freedom for slaveholders. You must always ask: states rights to do what?
Or it's like the "free market" that extracts resources in a nonrenewable, polluting way while coercing laborers into "wage slavery" by taking away all other possible good choices, then producing things designed to break (planned obsolescence) that we don't need, but I persuaded to buy for propaganda; a.k.a. marketing.
I understand now why Religion hates and fears Marxism. Marxism promises to do for people what Religion claims that wants to do, but intentionally fails to do. Marxism threatens to put the business of religion--and it is a big, cutthroat business--out of business. Allow me to explain.
Religion sells Hope. Hope is the number one product of Religion. But you can really only sell Hope to people who need it, to people who are in dire straits. Because the downtrodden are the main customer base of Religion, Religion really has no intention of actually improving lives to the degree that they no longer need Hope. But you must keep Hope alive providing token charity, just enough to keep the downtrodden dependent upon Religion.
The other main product of religion is empty Feel Good. While this is a product of Religion offered to all who commit ego death to the cause--sacrificing intellect for faith--Feel Good is primarily for those who want to resolve their cognitive dissonance of being much better off than the common person, but don't want to actually give up any of their privilege to significantly help, besides token charities that do nothing more than keep the downtrodden dependent upon the cult. Religion is nothing but a mass delusion that goes unquestioned.
Marxism, on the other hand, provides the basic needs of all so that none are downtrodden. Marxism liberates people from the oppression of right wing intolerance and hate. Marxism does not require ego death, and in fact liberates people to pursue science and art as basic needs are met. Marxism is a social and economic equalizer such that there is no cognitive dissonance to resolve with Feel Good.
Religion offers another product, but only to a select few. Religion allows manipulative psychopaths to use charismatic charm and authoritarianism to demand submission from the unenlightened and easily persuaded. They are wolves in sheep's clothing who seek personal gain while masquerading as champions of spiritual liberty.
Marxism liberates people so that they are not submissive to any authority except as freely chosen, with full consciousness, information, and many good options (non-coercive). Free association under Marxism means the choice to follow who you want and for however long you want.
Marxism can be undermined by right wing and/or authoritarian forces, both internal and external, so society needs to wake to this potential threat. Marxism can also be corrupted by cult of personality or power consolidation leading to the totalitarian state. Therefore, active democracy and left-libertarianism (anarchy) are necessary protections for freedom.
Someone today asked me what my PTSD triggers are. I have not been officially diagnosed with PTSD, but suffice it to say that I have symptoms I believe are similar to those of PRSD sufferers. I have been on the receiving end of psychological warfare, advanced persistent threat cyber attacks, and something I can only describe as psionic attacks. I have also suffered out of body traumatic experiences that amount to mutilation, torture, and violent rape in other body-forms. In these other states of consciousness I also experienced what one would probably suffer under the CIA's MK-Ultra brainwashing human experiments.
I believe I have also experienced teleportation of a sort. Not in the material world sense, but as in the Matrix I am functioning in is now run by another server or virtual box, or as in my consciousness at a higher level was transferred from one host or source to another. In fact, I believe I have been tortured and raped to the point of death many times in higher states of reality. These experiences are a primary source of my PTSD, along with the other traumas experienced in this echelon or dimension of reality, as I described previously.
So, after experiences such as those, what are my "PTSD triggers"? Anything remotely resembling the experiences described above is an immediate trigger
Some include gaslighting and the use of using argot or cant.
Argot is a language within a language. It is like radio wave propagation in which a message is modulated onto a carrier wave. In this case, the carrier wave is normal language. It is like puns or idioms, but more complex.
Some use argot to mask their message in open use, in much the same way that steganography does.
Others use argot so that the literal interpretation of the language has a contrary or even opposite value of the hidden meaning. This, in theory, gives the sender a plausible deniability that they were ever deceptive. In fact, they were by breaking the "spirit of intent".
Argot could also be used by some legalistic "rules lawyer" types to entrap the respondent; the argot sender could decide on their own whim and to their own advantage whether the respondent was replying to the literal or the argot, depending on which interpretation suited the message sender. Again, this is both deceptive and fraudulent.
I have been subjected to these and similar tactics by those who use argot. Because argot is inherently deceptive and potentially confusing for the point of entrapment, I refuse to knowingly communicate with people who use argot.
Therefore, I need people to be upfront, direct, and forthrightly honest with me. Lying and other forms of deception recall some of the episodes. If someone is lying or otherwise being deceptive with me, I immediately cut ties.
I am also very uncomfortable in the presence of law enforcement now, as well as intelligence personnel, with the exception of some of those with whom I have served.
I still to this day experience things which some might attribute to haunted house type of paranormal activity. However, I do not subscribe to that worldview. Although I don't discount the possibility of an ephemeral quality of each individual living beyond the corpse, I attribute these phenomena to something more akin to glitches in the Matrix; someone or some entities with power to affect the holographic simulation in which my consciousness perceives the world outside myself. These things disturb me, too.

In fact, public school should be institutions that foster critical thinking, emotional intelligence, problem solving skills, and real-world skills. Instead, schools primarily serve to:
keep youth locked away, out of the labor pool of adults
supervised so that adults can continue mostly senseless work that maintains the systems of exploitation upon people, communities, and ecologies
indoctrinate children into the senseless work they are expected to do upon graduated
teach children obedience to authority in service to the indoctrination
provide a system of corrupt games such as rote memorization of mostly irrelevant facts and performance testing of that store-and-dump to create a tiered hierarchy, which is more dependent on families' and communities' resource than natural talent
teach children ways to "game the system" that will be useful for "getting ahead" in the world economic order based on corruption and exploitation
sanction the psychological and sometimes physical punishment by those with more power or authority, to include high-performing staff and students, upon those who do not conform to the mores, norms, and expectations of an exploitative culture
Thus the innate curiosity and thirst to learn is diminished, if not completely deadened, in most children in most public schools. Homeschooling carries the risk of religious indoctrination, which betrays reason for irrational faith, and should therefore not be considered unless that risk can be mitigated or eliminated.
Charter schools merely exacerbate the already grotesque wealth inequality, when they even provide any education at all. Despite what capitalists tell you, privatization generally increases the disparity of power and wealth, which is why we are indoctrinated by the cultural system they control to believe, errantly, that privatization is good. It is only good for those who already have power and can exploit for more.
Instead, public education should:
include free preschool for all
be equitably funded, and not based on the property tax such that wealthy communities fund better schools
pay educators much better and treat them with same level of respect as currently afforded military, law enforcement, and fire fighters
reduce military expenditures an immense amount (I recommend 90% cuts!) and increase overall education spending substantially
be democratically run; see Sudbury Valley School
offer tailored and innovative learning; see Montessori
include free higher education trade school, community college, or public university in exchange for intern service such as AmeriCoprs, but not the military; such service could be a part of a Green New Deal Civilian Conservation Corps

In reading The World According to US Empire, it is clear to me from Wikileaks that the US State Department (which essentially includes the CIA and related organizations) is nothing more than a mafia for US-based corporations, and the CIA is essentially the hitmen.
This is what our taxes go to: promoting the interests of the US wealthy elite around the world through often brutal means.
There is no such thing as a free market. It is all an massive, corrupt system that chooses the winners and losers, and chooses poorly.
The world market is so competitive that it endorses cheating, which eliminates fair competition in favor of anti-democratic monopolies. The United States is an evil Empire, and trans-national corporations have bought the Empire right out from under itself. The only way for a truly free and fair world is to eliminate transnational corporations and monopolies, nationalize key industries, and severely restrict what a corporation is and can do.
It would be much wiser and much more ethical if instead both US business and US diplomacy adapted themselves to a multilateral and evolving world, rather than attempt to impose its will upon resistant players. The current strategy is not only immoral, but inefficient and ineffective.
World leaders are including stupid, and the United States of America among the stupidest.

The book details some of the CIA's torture, terrorism, and regime change tactics. But besides that, it's flabbergasting to read how the State Department bullies other countries into military or economic treaties or business deals. They are worse than used car salesmen.
Walking through the unfolding plot in selected case studies reminds me of the time when the my family met Katy, the kids, and me at Disney World. The time share we were staying at offered Katy and me $100 if we sat through their 30 minute sales pitch. I obliged. My time is not often worth $200 per hour.
The pitch was everything I expected it to be. At 30 minutes I asked for the money they promised, and did all sorts of manipulative tactics to stall, plead, and strong arm us into their contract. It would be comical if it wasn't so offensive. They were so disrespectful of us by not acknowledging our decision. I finally had to resort to threats in order to leave, taking their money with me.
One thing was kind of funny. At 30 minutes they weren't even through with their pitch. That was obviously intentional. Part of their scam is to keep you kidnapped until you sign.
But right at 30 minutes, in the middle of their presentation, I got up and declared their time was up and that I wanted their money. They looked shocked, as if no one had the nerve before to actually hold them to their word.
My wife Katy has not acted like herself since around covid. She does not write emails or texts using the same syntax. Her personality is vastly different. The same with my children.
Katy always said that no matter what, we would always be friends, and would always be a family. Looking back on the unreality of reality since covid, it was like she knew what was to come and was forewarning me.
She left and won't hardly communicate. She filed a divorce, the decree of which is not believable in the slightest. No legitimate judge would decree that a party in a divorce must sell his only vehicle and both homes, one of which (my rental) was purchased prior to the marriage. I don't know who this new person is in Katy's body, but she is not the woman I married. Can divorces get annulled if illegitimately filed and processed?
Today my daughter turned 10, but they refuse to even allow me to wish her a happy birthday. I don't know what this is, but it is a dystopia. It is not right, and it must end. If someone is running the show, get rid of them amd find someone better!

The DM looked as though he wanted to rage, but the hack-n-slash continued upon the stunned and paralyzed beast. "You force us into situations where we have to compromise our pantheon, alignment, or reputation just in order to survive. You don't listen to our concerns or give us any motivation to keep coming here. And then you just laugh about it! It's like you're drunk on power."
There was a long pause, as if a Paladin was sizing up the mortally wounded dragon about to be slain. The Elf Cleric, Orc Ranger, Dwarf Fighter, Halfling Rogue, and Gnome Mage all spied with anticipation. It had been a long, intensely brutal fight.
"We would also like to see the savings throws you claim we fail, yet you won't allow us to see the dice results from behind your screen. We do not believe you."
No one saw Jesse anymore after that. The party found a new Dungeon Master from the local gaming club who was an excellent storyteller. The campaign is ongoing and enjoyable for all. They accept walk-on players who share their vision and values.
It is wiser and more effective to deal with root causes rather than symptoms. Western imperialism causes anti-Western terrorism. While some combat in the name of defense may be justified, a War on Terror can never be won.
A War on Terror fans terrorism and increases recruitment. A War on Terror an excuse--false justification--for terrorism in response, which is what drone strikes are. A War on Terror paradoxically increases domestic terror by keeping citizens mindful of terror rather than more productive thoughts. A War on Terror kills more soldiers than the terror attacks. A War on Terror justifies irrational racism and xenophobi. A War on Terror is used as a cover to take away rights and consolidate the power of elites. A War on Terror enriches the military-industrial complex, the arms trade, and Big Media.
The only winners of a War on Terror are the rich and powerful.
